Fenix TK22R - functional and waterproof tactical flashlight

The body of the Fenix TK22R flashlight is made of hardened A6061-T6 aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, which makes the flashlight's barrel and head resistant to mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion. The milling of the body and its geometric profile prevent the flashlight from slipping from the hand, and provide excellent grip.

The optical system is protected by a toothed crown (raised head elements), which protects the glass in case of a fall or setting on an uneven surface.

The TK22R tactical flashlight also has a steel clip that allows for quick attachment of the flashlight to a belt and a brace. The flashlight uses several safety systems, including reverse polarity protection and "smart protection" against overheating.

The high IP68 protection rating makes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (30 minutes at a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt, as well as falling. A detachable clip also prevents the flashlight from rolling off an inclined surface.

The light source is the new generation LUMINUS SST-70 LED, emitting a maximum light output of 3200 lumens at a distance of up to 480 meters. Such an impressive range was achieved through the use of an enlarged head, a smooth SMO reflector and high light transmission glass.

The cool-neutral light color reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color reproduction and greater detail. Due to its tactical nature, the flashlight uses a smooth SMO reflector, providing a concentrated stream of light with a strongly illuminated center of the scene. Such parameters allow to illuminate distant targets, but also to work effectively in confined spaces, so the Fenix TK22R will be perfect for patrol and rescue operations. Power supply

The flashlight is powered by a 21700 type cell with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The battery used has twice the capacity of a standard 18650 cell, which obviously translates into tremendous performance and impressive runtime.

The battery additionally has a built-in USB-C port. This convenient solution allows charging the cell without the need for an additional charger. The socket is shielded by a protective ring, which significantly reduces the likelihood of the port getting wet or dusty. For charging, all you need is a standard USB-C cable (included) and a power source, such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer or car USB charger.

According to the manufacturer, the 21700 battery provides a total of up to 135 minutes in turbo mode (3200 lumens) or more than 2 days of illumination in low mode. The use of two springs in the battery compartment, guarantees stable operation and prevents power failures due to drops.

New FlexiSensa switch

The TK22R is equipped with two switches: the main (rear) switch and the FlexiSensa switch. The rear switch activates the momentary light as well as permanent illumination. The FlexiSensa tactical switch, on the other hand, allows you to conveniently switch between two groups of modes:

• Tactical group (with Turbo and Strobe options);
• Duty group (here the user can choose between four brightness levels).

The flashlight is equipped with a Lock Out lock to avoid accidental activation. In addition, the flashlight "remembers" the last used brightness level for each mode.

Tactical group:

Duty group:

• Low - 30 lumens
• Medium - 350 lumens,
• High - 1000 lumens,
• Turbo - 3200 lumens.

The presented parameters were obtained under laboratory conditions. A Fenix ARB-L21 5000U mAh battery was used during testing.
