The Fenix HM61R V3.0 is a lightweight headlamp with 1800 lumens and a range of 195 m, combining the functions of a headlamp and a standard angle flashlight.Whether you are working in harsh conditions, patrolling the terrain, camping or operating in mountainous terrain, this flashlight gives you confidence, control and comfort when light becomes a key tool.
If you are looking for a compact and powerful light source for outdoor use, the HM61R V3.0 will be an excellent choice. All thanks to its sturdy aluminum construction, state-of-the-art SST40-Gen2 LED emitting a maximum stream of 1800 lumens, easy operation with a dual side button, and the ability to charge the battery via a USB-C port.
The flashlight's tube is made of anodized A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which guarantees high resistance to damage and a robust design. Thanks to the cross-moulded surface, the flashlight won't slip out of your hand, and its grip has a good feel.
The flashlight measures only 105.4 mm, with the battery it weighs a mere 167.6 g, so it can constantly accompany us in our daily activities. The angle of the light beam can be easily adjusted up to 180° by rotating the body in the polymer band clamp. Unlike traditional headlamps, the Fenix HM61R V3.0 can be used as a handy angle flashlight when detached from the mount.
The magnetic tip allows you to attach the flashlight to steel surfaces, which is especially useful for activities that require free hands and a stable light source. The manufacturer also did not forget about a functional clip (removable) that allows you to carry the flashlight on your belt, backpack or pocket.
The multi- LED system used combines spot light, diffused light with high CRI and red light. This makes the flashlight ideal for precision work, technical tasks, night operations and situations requiring night vision protection. One device - full control over the light.
The main light source is a new generation LUMINUS SST40-Gen2 LED, emitting a maximum light output of 1800 lumens at a distance of up to 195 m! The neutral light color reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color rendition and better visibility of details.
The flashlight additionally has a red light (OSRAM 1414 Red LED), which is perfect for nighttime activities, because unlike white light it does not blind the user, provides a smooth adaptation of the eyes to vision in the dark, facilitates map reading and reduces our visibility.
The user has 7 modes of white light and 4 modes of red light. All operations related to the operation of the Fenix HM61R V3.0, i.e. switching on, off and changing modes, are carried out using a double switch (on the side of the flashlight). This guarantees high comfort of use and allows to operate the flashlight also with gloves. The controller used provides a linear course ofoperation, which means that in a given mode the flashlight works until the battery is exhausted without automatically reducing the stream.
The ARB-L18-4000's replaceable 4,000 mAh battery provides the perfect balance of power and long runtime, providing up to 162 minutes of turbo mode (total time) or 300 hours in economical eco mode when fully charged. The USB-C port with internal sealing allows for fast and safe charging - a full charge takes about 2.5 hours, which means less downtime and more action.
During outdoor activities, it's a good idea to monitor the status of the battery, which is why the HM61R V3.0 flashlight uses a low-energy warning system and a simple LED indicator to let the user know its condition. The LED in the side switch indicates the battery level for 3 seconds after activating the flashlight.
Battery level indications:
When transporting, the flashlight can be locked, going into the so-called lock mode. This protects against accidental activation of the light and uncontrolled depletion of the battery. The flashlight also remembers the last used brightness level (except in Turbo mode).
When turned on again, the flashlight automatically activates in this mode (memory function). The flashlight features a high protection class IP68, which means that it is resistant to dust, dust, heavy rain and even full immersion in water (2 m) for 30 minutes. Therefore, the HM61R V3.0 can be used in all weather conditions, practically for any physical activity. The manufacturer also did not forget to include protection against overheating and reverse polarity, as well as a driver with digital current regulation.
Stable carrying of the flashlight on the head is ensured by an upgraded rubber band, which wicks away sweat and is equipped with reflective inserts to increase our visibility and safety when moving at night on the road or trail.
The light performance was tested using the ARB-L18-4000 rechargeable battery.
