The flashlight’s body is made of anodized A6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum, which guarantees high resistance to damage and a sturdy construction. Thanks to the cross-hatched knurling on the surface, the flashlight won’t slip out of your hand, and its grip is clearly discernible.

The flashlight measures just 105.4 mm and weighs a mere 167.6 g with the battery, so it can be a constant companion in your daily activities. The beam angle can be easily adjusted up to 180° by rotating the body within the polymer headband clamp. Unlike traditional headlamps, the Fenix HM61R V3.0 can be used as a handy angle flashlight when detached from its mount.

The user has access to 7 white light modes and 4 red light modes. All operations related to using the Fenix HM61R V3.0—such as turning it on, turning it off, and changing modes—are performed using a dual switch (located on the side of the flashlight). This ensures a high level of user comfort and allows the flashlight to be operated even while wearing gloves. The built-in controller provides linearoutput, meaning that in a given mode, the flashlight operates until the battery is depleted without automatically reducing the light output.

High-Capacity Battery and Fast USB-C Charging

The removable ARB-L18-3400 battery , with a capacity of 3,400 mAh, provides an excellent balance between power and long runtime. The USB-C port with an internal seal enables fast and safe charging. During outdoor activities, it’s important to monitor the battery status; that’s why the HM61R V3.0 flashlight features a low-battery warning system and a simple LED indicator that informs the user of the battery’s condition. The LED in the side switch indicates the battery level for 3 seconds after the flashlight is turned on.

Battery level indicators:

• steady green light: 100–85%,
• flashing green light: 85–50%,
• steady red light: 50–20%,
• flashing red light: 20–1%.

During transport, the flashlight can be locked by switching to “lock mode.” This prevents accidental activation of the light and uncontrolled battery drain. The flashlight also remembers the last brightness level used (except in Turbo mode).

When turned back on, the flashlight automatically activates in that mode (memory function). The flashlight features a high IP68 protection rating, which means it is resistant to dust, heavy rain, and even full submersion in water (2 m) for 30 minutes. Therefore, the HM61R V3.0 can be used in all weather conditions and for virtually any physical activity. The manufacturer has also included overheat and reverse polarity protection, as well as a controller with digital current regulation.
